Typical for this time of year is the high fog that catches at the foot of the Hochkönig. With the first rays of sunshine, however, it quickly breaks and reveals the view of the Hochkönig and the Steinerne Meer. The particularly clear mountain air in autumn makes the mountains appear visually closer, and the distant view on the peaks of our region is then incomparable.
